Welcome to SOTS Women
For Women who are Sick Of This S**t
Time to ditch the Emotional Burden and Lighten the Load.
SOTS Women is a supportive and empowering group for women to get real about daily frustrations, share experiences, and find strength in a collective voice. We use proven cognitive techniques in an environment of fun, laughter, and plenty of swearing!
SOTS Women is for any woman who is:
- sick of idealistic advice given out
- sick of being their own harshest critic
- sick of ‘wellness’ ideas being touted as a ‘fix all’
- sick of health/value judgements being based on appearance
- sick of sexualisation of women
- sick of women not realising how bloody fantastic we are
Our Aims:
To help Women:
- like themselves/feel good enough
- focus on what they want not what is expected of them
- understand why we think how we think
- build their own personal toolbox for life (not just eat well, sleep well, exercise)
- support each other
- change the language you
Group Rules:
- no judgement
- supportive environment
- what happens in SOTS women stays in SOTS women
- swearing is encouraged/expected
- listen actively and avoid interrupting.
- no unsolicited advice
- no one is forced to do anything that makes them uncomfortable
Our Approach: Understanding Your Mind
Beyond just sharing, SOTS Women incorporates elements of proven cognitive techniques to help you manage and change those thoughts and behaviours that contribute to unhappiness.
We approach this through a lens of metacognition – the understanding of one’s own thought processes – which allows us to explore how we think and why certain patterns emerge. By understanding these internal mechanisms, each woman can discover and apply the specific strategies and tools that genuinely work for her to foster resilience and well-being.
And don’t worry, we do all of this in an environment of fun, laughter, and plenty of swearing – because sometimes, you just need to let it all out!
